Antes de mais nada: não precisam de perceber de vinho.

First things first: you don't need to know about wine.

Precisam de curiosidade e de vontade de errar em voz alta. O resto damos nós: o método, as perguntas certas, a ordem certa. Provar às cegas é a forma mais honesta de descobrirem aquilo de que gostam, sem o preço, a região ou a reputação a decidirem por vocês.

You need curiosity and a willingness to be wrong out loud. The rest is on us: the method, the right questions, the right order. Tasting blind is the most honest way to find out what you actually like, without price, region or reputation deciding for you.

Wine educator, WSET Level 3 with merit, with a background in hospitality and wine tourism in the Douro. Fora da Garrafa was born from a simple goal: bringing people closer to wine. Demystifying it, yes. But never forgetting that it is a product thousands of years old and a symbol of our culture, and that it deserves to be treated with that excellence.

É exatamente para vocês. Começamos pelo método, do zero, e ninguém precisa de acertar. O objetivo é aprender a provar, não passar num exame.

It's exactly for you. We start from zero with the method, and nobody needs to get it right. The aim is learning to taste, not passing a test.

Oito vinhos servidos às cegas, o método de prova, o scorecard para levarem, água e pão durante a prova, e queijo, azeite e presunto no fim, já com os rótulos à vista.

Eight wines served blind, the tasting method, a scorecard to take home, water and bread during the tasting, and cheese, olive oil and cured ham at the end, labels on the table.

Posso mudar de data?Can I change my date?

Sim, avisando com 48 horas de antecedência, para outra sessão com lugares. O bilhete também pode ser passado a outra pessoa.

Yes, with 48 hours' notice, to another session with seats available. Tickets can also be passed on to someone else.

Vou de carro. Como fazemos?I'm driving. What should I do?

Provar não é beber: as doses são pequenas e há cuspideiras em todas as mesas. Ainda assim, recomendamos que não conduzam depois da prova: combinem boleia ou venham com quem conduza.

Tasting isn't drinking: pours are small and there are spittoons on every table. Even so, we recommend you don't drive afterwards: share a lift or come with someone who's driving.
